Akothee’s message to daughter amidst backlash By JEFF AWALA

Controversial Kenyan singer Esther Akoth popularly known as Akothee has penned a strongly worded message to daughter Rue Baby.

In the letter, Akothee told Rue on her birthday not to be swayed by chatter from critics and never be apologetic for being who she is.

“On this day a leg was wide open for another good reason my baby turns a year younger, my queen my copyright , my headache and my everything, a go-getter and a no nonsense Rue ,my love, just know I am here for you team do or die! I love you so much chwity, keep doing you, never change for the world because the world will never even sacrifice a bed for you, and just remember the inky woman who wants to see you successful is me your mother!” Wrote Akothee.

Akothee stated that Rue has come of age and has to be careful how she engages with her female friends and more importantly the men in her life.

“Milk me, be careful with female friends around you, I love it because most of your friends are boys and the worst a man friend can do is to ask you to go to bed with them. But just know that the moment you give in for your male friends, the friendship is gone & enmity begins,” she added.

The singer added that her daughter should not shy away from introducing her boyfriends to her and make the right decisions in life.

“Let me be the first person you confide in , I am your age mate, been there and seen it all, don’t hesitate to introduce your boyfriends or boyfriend to me ,it’s a free world, it’s your choice mama ,so when you see one, with shaved hair and proper trouser let me know don’t bring for me Lucky Dube wannabe please I love you sweetie but it’s your choice Happy birthday my darling.”

Why Diamond Platnumz’s father could lose both feet By JEFF AWALA

Diamond Platnumz’s father Abdul Jumaa is ailing and could have could lose both feet.

According to Tanzanian publication Ijumaa Wikienda who paid him a visit at his home in Magomeni-Kagera, Dar es Salaam, Jumaa is suffering from skin cancer and if not treated, could have both feet amputated.

According to a doctor who saw photos of the Jumaa’s feet, there’s a 50/50 of recovery, but only if he sought medical aid soon.

“Aside from cancer, Diamond’s dad should also be treated for various infections which could lead to him losing both feet,” said Dr Godfrey Charle.

Lack of funds

Jumaa revealed that the feet have been a source of pain for a long time but he’s been unable to seek appropriate medical assistance due to lack of funds.“Kwa kweli miguu hii imenisumbua kwa muda mrefu sana. Nimehangaika katika hospitali nyingi tu lakini kwa kweli nimeshindwa kujitibia kutokana na gharama kuwa kubwa, he said.

Diamond’s help?

Asked if he had requested for assistance from Diamond, Jumaa declined to respond but pointed out that his son was in the know regarding his condition as it has lasted for a while now.“Siwezi kumzungumzia sana lakini kikubwa mimi kwa sasa namshukuru Mungu kanikutanisha na dada kutoka Uingereza anaitwa Zubeda Humphries ambaye amekuja na kuahidi kunisaidia ili niweze kutibiwa,” said Jumaa.

Diamond and his dad have not been on good terms though the cause of their rift is still unknown, even though his mother Sanura Kasimu has occasionally been speaking to Jumaa.

Zari moves on, introduces new bae By JEFF AWALA

It seems famous Ugandan socialite and businesswoman Zari Hassan has finally found love after parting ways with Tanzanian lover and father of her two children, Diamond Platnumz.

The two broke up in 2018 after Zari learnt of Diamond’s infidelity and took to social media to call it quits.

Although Diamond found love earlier and has plans of getting married later this year, Zari took her time to find her prince charming., but clearly the prince cannot be hidden forever.

Zari flaunted the gifts she got from her “king” on Valentine’s Day and the happiness on her face was rather evident. She posted a photo with a broad smile, which she rarely does, with flowers and chocolate in the background.
According to Zari, her new bae, who’s social media shy also recently gifted her a Louis Vuitton bag.

Diamond on the other hand surprised his girlfriend Tanasha Donna at work with flowers, a violinist and other gifts.

Before dating Diamond, Zari was married to the late Ugandan businessman Ivan Semwangafor 12 years and had three sons before they split. She accused him of physical abuse, claims Ivan refuted.
