Wema Sepetu finds new bae after her mum kicked out the previous one By JEFF AWALA

Tanzanian actress Wema Sepetu has a new boyfriend just months after her mother kicked out her previous boyfriend from her house last October.

• Last year, a furious Wema’s mother Mariam Sepetu stormed her daughter’s residence at night in Mbezi Salasala, Dar and kicked out her then-boyfriend Lawrence alias Rahul.
  Wema has since relocated to a new residence over rent arrears.
  It was reported that Mariam was unhappy with the fact that her daughter has been dating too many men without showing any signs of finally settling down in marriage, as she is yet to introduce any of them officially to her.
• Wema later dumped Lawrence, whom she once described as future husband, after their steamy video was leaked online, which resulted in her being banned from acting for an unspecified period.
  ‘BODY COUNT’
  Wema has now found love with her new bae identified as Chrintony who has been showering her with praise her on social media.
  In a recent post, Chrintony shared a picture of Wema kissing him and wrote:
  “There is no woman who was born to lose. Being helpless is not to prove you are female. Stand for what you believe in even though it doesn’t make you happy. The talentin you is huge my love and may God give you extra profits and may be more creative. You the best darling.”

Diamond Platnumz gets major boost as BASATA lifts 2018 ban By JEFF AWALA

Diamond Platnumz and his Wasafi Classic Baby (WCB) crew have a reason to smile after Baraza la Sanaa la Tanzania (BASATA) lifted its 2018 ban on the artist and label mate Rayvanny.

• In a statement, the regulatory body stated that it was satisfied by requests made to lift the ban and the apologies rendered by the Wasafi CEO and singer Rayvanny.
  It also gave the green light for the powerhouse to host its successful Wasafi Festival as of 22nd of February 2019.
  The statement, however, reiterated that BASATA will continue to monitor the two artists in a bid to ensure they follow set regulations, especially on morality.
• An elated Diamond could not hide his joy as he sent a message to Rayvanny saying “happy independence Vanny boy.”

Wema Sepetu banned from acting after intimate videos By JEFF AWALA

The Tanzanian Government through its Film Classification Board has banned actress Wema Sepetu indefinitely from taking part in any film related activities after her intimate videos leaked online.

• The actress shared a video kissing her husband while half naked on social media a thing that didn’t impress the authorities.On Friday, the regulatory Body, issued a statement directing that Wema would not be allowed to shoot or direct any movie, until the time they will be satisfied that she has changed her ways.
• “Bodi ya filamu Tanzania inamfungia #WemaSepetu kutojihusisha na masuala ya filamu kwa muda usiojulikana hadi pale itakapojiridhisha kuwa amebadilisha mienendo yake. Hatua hiyo imetangazwa leo na bodi hiyo ikiwa ni siku moja baada ya staa huyo kuomba radhi baada ya kusambaa kwa video inayomuonesha akinyonyana ndimi na mpenzi wake” reads part of the Statement.

Tanzanian artist Aslay the Hitmaker of Ananikomoa.Aslay  sensation, famed for his hit song, Nakusemea said that he takes his music seriously and stays away from meaningless romantic relations and drugs.

Aslay who is the first-born in his family told Word Is he has invested his money wisely.

“No one wants to live in squalor. I thank God I have managed to build two good houses one for my mother and other for rentaI and I also have a car.”

Aslay was discovered by top Tanzania promoter, Said Fela who “spotted me during my performance at a show in Zanzibar where many artistes had been signed to perform including Ali Kiba and Diamond”.

Aslay said that the inspiration to write a song like Nakusemea, which has a very mature and adult theme, was because of his relationship with his mother.

“When I was younger, my mother used to counsel and encourage me on many issues relating to music. Back then I was also in school so I usually told her everything including what I discussed with my fellow friends. That is how I chose the theme to the song about a man who is cheating on his wife and the son finds out. Now it has really hit.”
