Diamond Platnumz awards and accolades By Jeff Awala

On 3rd May 2014, the Tanzanian star set a record during the Tanzania Music Awards by clinching seven awards. Previously, the record was held by 20%, another recording artist from the same country who won five awards at the 2011 edition. Here are some of Diamond's awards. 

• Africa Music Video awards 2016– African Video of the Year, Best African Combo Video, Best African Male Video.

• Channel O Music Video Awards 2014 - "Number One" won Most Gifted Newcomer, Most Gifted East, Most Gifted Afro Pop.

• HiPipo Music Awards – in 2015 "Number One" won East Africa Superhit, 2016 "Nana by Diamond Platnumz" won East Africa Superhit, in 2016 "Nana by Diamond Platnumz Ft Mr. Flavour" won East Africa Best Video, in 2017 Diamond Platnumz won Quinquennial Africa Music Vanguard Award, and in 2017 " Salome by Diamond Platnumz ft Rayvanny" won East Africa Best Video.

• Top Ten Tube Music Awards 2014 – Best Artist East Africa .

• The Headies 2014 - African Artiste of the Year .

• The Future Africa Awards 2014 - Prize in Entertainment .

• Nzumari Awards 2012 - Best Male Artist – Tanzania.

• MTV Europe Music Awards/WORLDWIDE ACT AFRICA/INDIA – in 2014 he won the Best African Act, 2015 he won the Best African Act and the Worldwide act award.

• These are just some of the awards that the star has won. In total, he has won 28 nominations and 22 awards. One of his award-winning tracks is Diamond Platnumz Ukimwona.
