Diamond Platnumz slapped with KSh 400k fine for his vulgar song with Rayvanny By Jeff Awala.

• The Tanzanian Arts Council(BASATA) has now fined Diamond Platnumz and his colleague Rayvanny a whooping KSh 400,000 for misconduct and releasing a song full of vulgarity.Diamond's plea to have the song played at night when kids are asleep was also rejected as he and his label were told the song has been given a complete blackout on the airwaves .According to reports by Global Publishers, BASATA deputy chair Godfrey Mngereza even asked Rayvanny if he would dare to sing the song in his parents' presence. The musician replied with a stern no prompting Godfrey to say the song is completely off limits as it is dirty and uncouth. “That song is not okay at all. Even during the meeting I asked Rayvanny whether he would sing the song in front of his parents and he said no. It shows he even agrees it lacks morals so why would we allow it to be played at night?” Godfrey wondered. The musicians' manager Babu Tale further explained in regards to whether the song can be played on the internet, he will address the issue through a detailed letter. 
• Rayvanny and fellow Bongo bigwig Diamond were called out for releasing a song dubbed Mwanza which promoted sexual immorality and pervasion. Diamond who was described as the window of the society was blamed of failing his community as a lot f people looked up to him for direction. His song was banned from being aired on television and radio. The crooner even tried to plead with BASATA to allow his song to be played at night when youngsters were asleep as adults were the target audience.
