Jamaican dancehall star Cecile wonders why Kenyans passionately hate gospel singer Willy Paul . By Jeff awala.

• Gospel, oh sorry secular music singer Willy Paul is one of the most controversial public figures in Kenya. This has been proven countless times by reactions from Kenyans following his many shenanigans. The singer recently found himself in a tight spot after Kenyans once again pounced on him with a merciless troll following reports he had been admitted at a hospital for allegedly over-dosing on viagra. Well, the singer came out hours later and vehemently refuted the claims, adding his enemies are responsible for the false alarm. Despite his explanation, Kenyans kept trolling him in a move that attracted the attention of Jamaican dancehall star Cecile. Actually, the songstress was invited into the whole melee by one of Willy Paul's fans who tagged her on the comments section of the singer's Instagram video. “I am Jamaican national living in London, UK. I love the songs Willy Paul did with our female singers, Alaine and Cecile. However, I cannot just understand the bitterness and hatred he gets from his own people,'' the fan by the name Boss Lady Sim Sam posed. 
• In a quick rejoinder, the Jamaican singer jumped to Willy Paul's defense claiming Kenyans should not be too hard on the star despite his many shortcomings. The singer recently did a collabo with Pozee which was not well received locally. “Simsam, that makes the two of us. It is tragic how his own do not approve of him'' Cecille wrote. She held that while Willy Paul may be wrong, it does not necessarily mean everything coming from his side is trash. “Well, he explained it to me, and I liked it. My perception of love and what Christianity is supposed to mean, obviously, differs from yours. I think that is the problem you guys are having. To me, it seems like some people do not agree with what he is saying, which is okay. That, however, does not mean whatever he is saying is trash.'' she added. Thousands of Kenyans could hear none of Cecille's words and went even further to unearth Willy Paul's many blunders. Seeing things were getting out of hand and his reputation dragged to the gutters even more, Pozee deleted all comments and disabled commenting on his post.
