• Ommy revealed that he was recuperating in South Africa where he underwent a throat surgery .The singer had been missing in action for over fifteen days, a situation that left millions of his fans with a thousand questions - The Baadae crooner promised fans that he will be back soon stronger and better Celebrated Bongo Flava star Omar Faraji Nyembo alias Ommy Dimpoz is happy to be alive after successfully undergoing a life-threatening throat surgery. 
• The singer used to opportunity to inform his online fans that he has been away for about fifteen days, not because he was on a holiday but because he was recuperating following the surgery. It should be noted that the star is one of the most popular musicians in East Africa who love to bring their fans up to speed on the happenings in their lives through social media had gone MIA, leaving his fans with plenty of unanswered questions. 
• ''I have been away for almost fifteen days because I was in the hospital undergoing treatment but I thank God I was discharged not long ago,'' he said. The singer urged his fans to be patient as they wait for him to get back to music, promising them that he will be back soon stronger and better. ''Right now I am recuperating but Inshallah all shall be well and I will be back stronger and better. A big shout out to everyone who sent me their encouraging messages and praying for me, Allahamdulillah,'' he added.
